Visual design skill levels

Apprentice

Successfully follows existing visual design patterns in the preparation of new content or system functionality.

Practitioner

Designs and implements visual communications as part of systems or content that are aesthetically coherent and pleasing, as well as being in line with stakeholder and user needs.

Master

Creates a large scale visual communication framework, such as an entirely new intranet site design, and works with other delivery teams (such as developers and content publishers) to execute the design successfully.
