This website
As a commercial concern this site is obviously our shop window onto the world – everyone needs to earn a living. However, we have a deeply held desire to bring value and knowledge to the intranet and digital workplace community globally. We are all peers. We aspire for this to collect our resources together and to give far more than we expect to get.
We have a commitment towards privacy and you can find everything about that in our Privacy policy. We also have a commitment to making these resources accessible.
We spent a long time on Squarespace and as is common for time-constrained small companies we wanted something quick and easy to use. However it became a tangle of custom styles each time we evolved the site and then, bless them, they sunsetted our template. There was swearing. We chose Webflow as a balance between all the bells and whistles and the minimum of the boring stuff, as well as CMS capabilities to support the skills matrix and future plans. It also makes it reasonably easy to meet accessibility and device compatibility.
We use Fathom for analytics to ensure we are missing the minimum in lost data and maximising users' privacy. It also has the advantage of not requiring a tiresome cookie notice.
We have moved to MailerLite and MailerSend for mailing lists and personalised mail delivery and when you submit a form it all goes via make.com scenarios with which we maintain a love-hate relationship.
Spark Trajectory runs proudly on Fibery. It is one of the most remarkable pieces of technology that we have ever used (and one of the most talented and helpful teams). It runs the company, encapsulates the models and delivers the projects with customers; and via Make we can move content to the website.
Imagery is created using the Affinity suite, but were are moving to try and make everything out of HTML and CSS wherever possible. The new version of the skills matrix is the first to migrate.
