This covers index tuning, metadata optimisation, embedding-based search, chunking strategies, RAG corpus curation, query interpretation, and the governance of authoritative sources. The discipline ensures that users and AI systems can reliably find, interpret, and synthesise organisational knowledge.
Skills related to the design of systems and delivery of content taking into account users with disabilities or otherwise requiring assistive or adaptive technology.

Skills relating to the ability to moderate discussions, facilitate contributions and resolve any conflicts arising on social networks, collaboration platforms and related digital channels.
Skills related to the operation and enforcement of governance models within the digital workplace environment. This includes implementing standards, managing compliance, monitoring performance, and maintaining continuous control over content, platforms and AI-enabled retrieval systems to ensure the governance framework is applied, operational, and responsive to evolving organisational requirements.
Skills related to the management and administration of IT systems to ensure their availability, capacity and integrity.
